Jacobo Novo

Jacobo leads everything technical at Doubity: the idea, design, user experience and development. He’s obsessed with using artificial intelligence to make things better, not just faster, and with bringing it into education with common sense and a human always in charge.
Above all, he’s a dad. The questions his kids ask are behind much of what you’ll read here.
Alicia Cid
Early years teacher & educational psychologist · Head of education
Alicia brings the educational purpose to everything we do. As a teacher and educational psychologist, she knows how kids think and learn, and what the Spanish education system expects at each stage. She checks that every explanation fits the child’s age, that every resource has a clear goal and that every image makes kids think.
If a curious fact is well explained, it has probably been through her hands.
Technology and teaching, on the same team
AI helps us research, write and illustrate. Then we step in: Jacobo makes sure everything works and looks right, and Alicia makes sure it’s accurate, age-appropriate and educationally valuable. If something doesn’t convince us, it doesn’t get published.
We work remotely from Málaga. Our office is the kitchen table, the sofa after the kids are in bed… and sometimes the car parked outside school.
