About us

Every question has an answer. Some are just harder than others.

We’re parents. And like you, we’ve gone blank more than once when a “but why?” landed at the breakfast table. Doubity exists so that next time you’ll have something to share, and you can discover it together.

It all began with a “but why?”

Why are bees so important? Why is the sky blue? Why do wars happen?

Our kids are at the age where they ask about everything, and often we don’t know what to say. Or we do know, but we can’t explain it in a way that makes sense to them.

So we thought: what if the answer arrived before the question? One small curious fact a day, told in a simple, quick and fun way. Something you can read in two minutes and share over dinner, in the car or at bedtime.

That’s Doubity.

Curious facts, news and tools for learning as a family

Doubity is a platform of questions, curious facts and news explained for kids and their parents. You’ll find:

  • Everyday curious facts. Clear answers to the questions kids ask, and to the ones they haven’t thought of yet.
  • News for kids (coming soon). What’s happening in the world, explained so a 9-year-old can follow it. No drama, no hiding the truth, no talking down.
  • Tools for parents. Ideas to help you raise, understand and connect with your kids.

Looking for colouring pages, worksheets and learning resources? You’ll find them at ColoringColorea, our sister project.

Making the grown-up world make sense to kids

The adult world can be hard to understand, even for adults. The rise of artificial intelligence, wars, a society that keeps changing… Kids see it, hear it and ask about it.

Our mission is to help you answer. With content that sparks kids’ curiosity and gives you the tools to explain, support and talk things through.

And, along the way, to win back a little time from screens.

Made with AI. Checked by people.

Let’s be honest: today anyone can generate thousands of texts and images in an afternoon. That’s why the internet is filling up with mass-produced content, with facts that aren’t always true and pictures of dogs with three tails or six legs.

We use AI too, because it helps us create more content, fresher and more up to date. But nothing goes live until a person has checked it: every fact, every explanation and every image goes through human hands before it reaches you.

We add a human layer to everything we make. That’s what sets us apart. How we check our content →

What drives us

Education

Everything we publish has a learning purpose. Fun, yes, but always teaching something.

Honesty

We tell things as they are, to kids too, in a way that fits their age. And when we don’t know something, we say so.

We’re parents

We know the rush, the tiredness and that “what do I tell them now?” look. We write from there, parent to parent.

Nobody has all the answers

Not even us. That’s why we research, double-check and keep learning alongside you.

Facing change head-on

AI, conflicts, a world changing at full speed. We don’t look away. We look for a way to explain it.

Two people, one question

Behind Doubity there’s a small team with a lot of enthusiasm. We work remotely from Málaga, Spain, for families everywhere.

  • Jacobo Novo. Design, technology and AI applied to education.
  • Alicia Cid. Early years teacher and educational psychologist. She makes sure everything makes educational sense.

Part of the ColoringColorea publishing group

Doubity is part of the ColoringColorea publishing group, which is dedicated to open, free learning. At coloringcolorea.com you’ll find educational colouring pages, worksheets and school resources. All of it follows the same principle: technology helps us, but a person always checks the result.

We’ve just started, and we want to grow with you

Doubity is a brand-new project and we’re building it with a lot of excitement. If there’s a question you can’t answer, an idea or a suggestion, send it our way. It might become our next curious fact.
